Oh Summer, trust me, it DOES! I try to help him pick it up each day but here’s the deal: he lets me sleep in about 90% of the time… SO he makes a downright hurricane out of his room (and yes, strewn throughout the hallway, up the stairs, into the laundry room…), complete with crumbs of any sort of food he has managed to scavage from the kitchen, all by about 9 am. Then I try to get him to pick it all up. All.Day.Long. And maybe, JUST maybe it is semi-cleaned up again by bedtime. Just in time for him to go to sleep, wake up, and do it all over again

Wow, that is the most organized room with a kid in it I’ve ever seen. Lie to me and swear it looks messed up the rest of the time so I don’t feel bad. LOL

Sure, send em! It is fun, but its hard too. I have a hard time knowing when to back off, when to engage, and how to avoid showing that I’m losing my patience! I really hope this year will be a good learning experience for me and I’ll be more prepared for the years ahead.

What a perfect little classroom! It just sets the mood for learning. I have Spanish flash cards if you can use them. Are you enjoying it as much as Ethan? You will be a pro by the time it’s Verity’s turn.
