Flu sucks. Scabby nipples suck. Engorgement SUCKS.
But my little darlin’ is SO worth it!!!
The Preface
These are my findings on the path of motherhood. This blog is for all practicing the balancing act, which for me includes homeschooling and working from home, and extends to the evolution of myself in the context of this world through yoga, knitting/creative arts, marital connection, community and faith. These things bring me joy, healing and purpose, (but not without frustration and pain sometimes... and I can throw a fit like the best of 'em.)

totally, Rach- little Parana mouths. Last time I chose to pump for a few weeks but I feel like this time I’ll have better luck with some advil every few hours and then just nurse on top of the scabs. Today is much better, the engorgement is going down. Still sick though, as is the little guy.
We’ll have to catch up soon! I haven’t been on the phone once since the birth so just bare with me- I’ll make some calls sometime this week!
Oh… I’m so glad that you are going before me in this adventure. I’m having flash backs of the first week and remembering all the things I’d wished I’d been prepared for! Thanks to you I’m going to have stacks of nipple creams, natural pain killers, ice and heat sources and a stack of magazines or a show to watch to help pass the time. I totally forgot how hard the first week is! I remember wondering if it would ALWAYS be that way. But as we know, it changes weekly… on to a new stage!!!
Ohh I remember that all too well. Bleeding nipples. Mine took out chunks,lol. It hurts but You have to do what you have to do for your baby. Can’t wait to see more pics. Get well soon, I know you’ll try.
