We're fortunate (depending on how you look at it) to be in the poverty bracket that allows us to qualify for Oregon Health Plan, and they're paying for our home birth!! It's such a frustrating place to be in, making too much to qualify and too little to pay out of pocket. Are you sure you don't qualify??? I've been on OHP 3 times in the last 4 years with differing incomes and always been accepted during pregnancy. I'm sure you've looked into it, I just thought I'd throw it out there just in case.
